MATRIX Engine — Risk Assessment
A separate workspace for personal financial and business resilience screening, with free results and paid scenario, history, monitoring and reporting tools.
Start a free assessment
Open MATRIX Engine from the landing page, the desktop user menu or the mobile menu. Choose personal finances or business; business assessments include 20 broad sector categories and tailored review prompts.
Enter your currency, data date and self-reported figures. Use zero only when the value really is zero; leave unknown values blank. A guest can calculate results without signing in. A free account can save one active profile and reassess it.
- Assessment: evidence summary, rule-based dimensions, urgent findings and practical next actions.
- Scenarios: hypothetical cash-flow sensitivity tests with editable assumptions (Pro).
- History: reopen your saved results; Pro adds a comparable trend chart.
- Monitoring: opted-in review reminders and reassessment threshold notices inside MATRIX (Pro).
Understand the result
The screening index runs from 0 to 100; higher values indicate more vulnerability under the stated rules. It is not a default probability, loss prediction, credit score, peer benchmark or compliance certification. The thresholds are design rules and have not been validated against real outcomes.
Index bands are Lower (0–24), Moderate (25–49), Elevated (50–74) and High (75–100). An overall index requires at least 80% of applicable questions, all core cash-flow inputs, positive recurring outgoings and at least four assessable dimensions. Unknown dimensions remain visible and are excluded from the weighted average.
Urgent issues are surfaced separately so an average cannot conceal a cash deficit or other critical finding. Evidence coverage is separate from risk. Figures entered from records remain self-reported, and data older than 90 days is marked for refresh.
Select a risk dimension to see its calculation and weight. Personal loss capacity is assessed separately from stated willingness to take risk. Sector prompts adapt the review to a business context; they do not establish a validated model of sector-specific loss probabilities.
Scenarios and monitoring
Scenarios apply the user-selected shocks over a fixed 1–24 month period. The illustrative default is a 20% income/revenue decline and 10% increase in operating/living costs over six months. Defaults are assumptions, not predictions. Edit the shock values before running a test.
The calculation projects cash from reported reserves and recurring net cash flow. Business variable costs move with revenue, while fixed costs persist. The approximation for extra interest is variable-rate principal multiplied by the annual rate increase divided by 12. Investment losses are separate from cash balances; no asset sales, borrowing, taxes, recovery, compounding or investment returns are assumed.
Monitoring checks a new saved assessment against the owner's selected threshold and critical flags. A daily review-reminder job checks the chosen 7–90 day review interval. Notices appear only inside MATRIX. This feature does not fetch bank accounts, synchronize portfolios, send email, or claim continuous market monitoring. Premium monitoring is suspended when paid access ends.
Plans and privacy
- Free: guest preview, findings and urgent warnings, one active saved profile and access to its saved results.
- Pro: Free features plus server-checked scenarios, history trends and assessment review monitoring.
- Elite: Pro features plus up to 10 active MATRIX profiles, detailed PDF reports and a separate read API.
- Existing Pulse prices and checkout apply. Paid plans do not change the risk findings for identical inputs.
- MATRIX has its own profiles, assessments and notices. Records are restricted to the owner; server functions enforce plan access and ownership. It does not automatically read or modify other Pulse financial records.
- Archive a profile to remove it from the active list and stop monitoring. Its results remain in History; restore it from the archive if an active-profile slot is available.
Dedicated MATRIX read API (Elite)
Use your existing Pulse API key with the account:read scope. Never put an API key in a public webpage or share it in a report. Configure keys in Pulse Settings under Developer API.
POST to /api/apps/6a1f17f617ebbbd4a661f002/functions/matrix-api on your published Pulse origin. Send Authorization: Bearer <YOUR_PULSE_API_KEY> and Content-Type: application/json.
List request: {"action":"list","limit":20,"offset":0}. Retrieve one assessment: {"action":"get","assessment_id":"YOUR_ASSESSMENT_ID"}. The response includes only the authenticated key owner's MATRIX results. The endpoint is read-only.
The dedicated MATRIX endpoint shares Pulse's existing Elite allowance of 10,000 API requests per month and per-key limit of 120 per minute. Revoked keys and inactive Elite access are rejected. Retain your own secure copy if you need results older than the 100-snapshot interface history.
